Malaysia to establish transportation safety board by next year

A draft Bill to establish the Malaysian Transportation Safety Board (MTSB) is expected to be tabled in Parliament next year, Transport Minister Anthony Loke told the Dewan Rakyat on Monday (Nov 17).

He said the ministry is finalising a memorandum on the board’s formation, which will be presented to the Cabinet by year-end.

Responding to a query on delays, Loke said the government is still refining the MTSB model and will benchmark it against international agencies.
