Man injured in Penang apartment gas blast dies

The 62-year-old man, who sustained serious injuries from a gas explosion in the Green Garden Apartment in Jalan Paya Terubong, Penang, has died.
Lee Kok Eang succumbed to his injuries while warded at Penang General Hospital early Tuesday.
George Town OCPD Asst Comm Che Zaimani Che Awang said investigations found that there was a liquefied petroleum gas leak in the unit, and the explosion was triggered when the victim tried to light a cigarette.
