The Defence Ministry reached out to civilians and army veterans to get their views on national security as it worked on the White Paper, says Mohamad Sabu.
The Defence Minister said this after officiating at the Fourth Perwira Dialogue titled "Defence White Paper: Defending the Nation" organised by Malaysian Institute of Defence and Security on Thursday, adding that this was done to underline the message that national security is everyone's responsibility and not just the armed forces'.
The Defence White Paper is expected to be presented to the Cabinet next month and tabled in Parliament in December.
