Matta confirms 95,000 hotels cancellation due to virus outbreak

Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (Matta) president Datuk Tan Kok Liang has confirmed that a total of 95,000 hotel bookings had been cancelled due to coronavirus and the travel ban imposed by China on its citizens.
Tan said this on Tuesday, adding that the cancellation amounted to almost RM40 million of losses.
He also urged the government to introduce a stimulus package as soon as possible to help the tourism industry.
