Following the Education Ministry’s written reply in Parliament on the recognition of the Unified Examination Certificate (UEC), MCA deputy president and Ayer Hitam MP Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong said they now have a clearer picture of how the ministry works towards its UEC pledge. The ministry said the pledge is not in Pakatan Harapan’s 100 day election manifesto, adding that it will not rush into recognising UEC and it is looking at its five-year administration to fulfil the pledge.
