Media integrity takes centre stage as Penang hosts Hawana 2026

The push for greater media integrity and public trust will take centre stage as Penang prepares to host the National Journalists’ Day (Hawana) 2026 celebrations this June, says Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil,
The event, themed “Media Integrity Strengthens Credibility,” will be held on June 20 and officiated by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
Fahmi said the programme reflects efforts to strengthen journalism standards and reinforce confidence in media institutions amid growing challenges in the digital age.
