Melaka polls: SOP not out yet but will take pandemic into account, says Wan Junaidi

The Election Commission (EC) has yet to announce standard operating procedures (SOP) for the coming Melaka state election and would take the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic into consideration when drawing up the SOP, says Datuk Seri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar.
The Minister in the Prime Minister's Department said that in the Dewan Rakyat on Wednesday (Nov 3), and explained earlier that that the EC has set 2023 as a timeline to implement Undi18 and targeted October next year for the smooth implementation.
While Wan Junaidi was informing the House that the Election Academy had introduced a Virtual Voter Education Education programme to educate young voters, there was a light moment when Dr Maszlee Malik (IND-Simpang Renggam) suggested the EC adopt a comic book he published for young Malaysians.
