Military gains full control of Marawi City

The Armed Forces of the Philippines said they have gained full control of Marawi City after a hard fought battle with Islamist militants. The spokesman for the security services Brig Gen Restituto Padilla denied rumours that the city is still being controlled by the Maute militants. To date, 97 people have been killed in the conflict.
