Ministry focuses on recovery, emotional stability of orphans due to Covid-19, says Rina

Aspects of rehabilitation and emotional stability of children who became orphaned as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic is a priority for the Women, Family and Community Development Ministry.
Its minister Datuk Seri Rina Mohd Harun said that on Sunday when commenting on the fate of 4,422 school children under the Education Ministry who have lost their parents or guardians due to the disease, adding that a total of 273 counselors from the Social Welfare Department (JKM) are tasked to provide regular counseling to children who were traumatised and identified as needing the service.
