The government is not ruling out the possibility of selling more assets – including land – to keep national debt at a manageable level.
Speaking to reporters at the Parliament lobby on Thursday, Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said
aside from the sale of the superyacht Equanimity to Genting Malaysia Bhd for US$126mil, any future sale of government assets would be to Malaysians.
He added that the government had recovered money that was lost from Singapore, but did not reveal any details.
