MoT studying legal framework of other countries to tackle reckless driving, DUI offences

The Ministry of Transport is currently studying the legal framework and practices of other countries in reviewing the Road Transport Act, says Anthony Loke.
The Transport minister said that on Thursday when commenting on road safety experts who have suggested that Malaysia look at measures implemented by other countries in its review of the Act.
Loke had previously said that the Road Transport Act would be reviewed and amended to increase the existing penalties for reckless driving and driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
