Mount Kinabalu climbing routes closed due to heavy rain

Strong water flowed from the top of Mount Kinabalu early Friday (Sept 13), forcing climbers and their guides to exercise extreme caution when making their way down the Sayat-Sayat checkpoint to Panalaban.
According to Sabah Parks officer for the Panalaban substation, Richard Yulong, all hike routes up the mountain were closed at 8.43am due to the bad weather.
