Muhyiddin: Cabinet to consider amending Sosma

Home Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said the Cabinet will be looking into amending the Security Offences (Special Measures) Act 2012 (Sosma), including the maximum 28-day detention period.
He added that among them proposed amendment include to allow 14 days of detention and to be brought to court and get the judge’s permission if there is a need to detain for another 14 days.
