On a recent case which saw over 600 China nationals arrested over a foreign exchange scam targeting Chinese citizens, Home Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said he spoke to his China counterpart during a bilateral meeting in Bangkok recently and Beijing expressed willingness to assist Malaysia in solving the matter.
He added that perhaps China could advise their own citizens not to commit such activities before they come to Malaysia, as it would only bring a bad image to their country.
Muhyiddin spoke to the press after attending the Immigration Department Day celebrations in Putrajaya on Monday.
