Mujahid explains Govt’s stand on enforcement of Islamic criminal laws

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Dr Mujahid Yusof Rawa explained to the media on Monday the Government’s stand on the enforcement of khalwat raids based on Rahmatan Lil Alamin (compassion for all), the definition of public versus private spheres and suggestions on how to reform and implement the standard practices and procedures (SOP) and enforcement of Syariah law, particularly at state and federal levels. He held the press conference after attending a roundtable discussion with chief Syariah judges and Syariah enforcement officers from various states on caning and public shaming.
