Many villagers are worshipping a serpent-like track at a temple in Chaiyaphum, Thailand believing it to be the King Serpent - a mythical figure cited in many Buddhist tales.
The tracks emerged mysteriously shortly after an ordination ceremony.
Temple-goers later gathered at the site and sat down while giving a hand gesture to the track as a gesture of respect.
The temple's abbot felt the incident was a positive one but declined to comment further on the tracks.
