New vehicle inspection centre network to begin operations on June 16

Vehicle ownership transfer inspections (MV 15) are set to become more accessible soon with the launch of a new network of motor vehicle inspection centres starting June, says Transport Minister Anthony Loke.

Speaking after the launch of an inspection centre in Kajang, Selangor, on Tuesday (May 26), Loke said the new centres, operated by used car marketplace Carro, marked the first licensed inspection service outside of Puspakom for private vehicle ownership transfers.

He added that the move aims to improve convenience and service quality, with standardised government-regulated pricing ensuring competition is based on efficiency.
