The Army may call additional witnesses in its investigation into the fatal grenade blast at Kem Hobart, says Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin.

He told the Dewan Rakyat on Thursday (July 16) that the ministry expects a more comprehensive report from the Army by July 23, adding that it is too early to determine the cause before investigations are complete.

Responding to a question from Datuk Mohd Isam Mohd Isa (BN-Tampin), Khaled said training safety procedures will be strengthened based on the findings of the board of inquiry, adding that all military personnel will also undergo physical and mental health assessments before participating in training, particularly those with medical conditions requiring monitoring.
