Ng: Bon Odori in Shah Alam attracts large crowds, boosting Selangor tourism

Thousands of people gathered in Shah Alam on Saturday (July 20), to celebrate Bon Odori, an annual summer event from Japan, now in its 48th edition.
Selangor Local Government and Tourism Committee Chairman Datuk Ng Suee Lim highlighted at a press conference that the celebration plays a pivotal role in driving tourism to the state, and noted a significant boost in state tourism, with a remarkable 49% increase in visitors from Japan in 2023 compared to the previous year.
