Nga: Strata management must provide alternative access to maintenance fee defaulters

Strata management bodies can restrict access for property owners who fail to pay maintenance fees, but they cannot completely deny them access to their homes, says Housing and Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming.

Nga's response was read out on his behalf by Education Minister Datuk Seri Fadhlina Sidek, as he was not present in the Lower House on Thursday (Oct 29).

The ministry is reviewing the Strata Management Act 2013 to strengthen debt recovery while protecting owners' rights.
