Nine arrested in demolition protest

Nine people were arrested during a protest staged by activists and villagers to stop three houses and two shoplots from being demolished near the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah airport in Subang, Selangor on Wednesday. Five Parti Sosialis Malaysia (PSM) members, including PSM secretary-general A Sivarajan, PSM Youth chief Khalid Ismath and four villagers were taken to the Petaling Jaya District police headquarters as part of the investigations.
