No cases from Sarawak General Hospital cluster originated from Covid-19 wards, ICUs, says Health DG

None of the 56 Covid-19 cases related to the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) cluster originated from the hospital’s Covid-19 wards or intensive care units (ICUs), says the Health Ministry.
Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said that at the ministry’s daily Covid-19 press conference Thursday (April 30), adding that most of the healthcare workers who were infected by the virus had gotten it outside the hospital.
Meanwhile, Dr Noor Hisham said there are now 18 hospitals in Sarawak that could conduct screenings, compared to five at the start of the outbreak.
Four hospitals have been identified as Covid-19 treatment centres - SGH, Miri Hospital, Bintulu Hospital and Sibu Hospital - with 736 beds set aside for Covid-19.
