No specific law being considered to address transboundary haze, says Tuan Ibrahim

There are no plans to enact specific laws to deal with transboundary haze since constraints such as security issues and inability of obtaining accurate data from neighbouring countries will make the enforcement of such laws difficult even if they are enacted, said Datuk Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man.

The Environment and Water Minister said that when replying to a question raised by Yeo Bee Yin (PH-Bakri) in Dewan Rakyat on Tuesday (March 15), added that it would not be possible for the government to control the purchase and use of land by a local company in another country.
