Not for Cabinet to decide on students being taught Jawi script, says Teo

Deputy Education Minister Teo Nie Ching said it is the Cabinet's decision in not involving the School Development Board (LPS) in determining whether pupils will be taught the Jawi script.
The Deputy Education Minister said that after launching the new safety video by the ministry titled My Body is Mine on Friday, adding that the Cabinet decided that it is for the parents, pupils and parent-teacher associations (PTA) to make the decision because it concerns the pupils’ education.
