“Not okay”, says Ismail Sabri on resumption of karaoke outlets

Karaoke outlets are still not allowed to resume business, even in areas under the Recovery movement control order (MCO), said Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
The Senior Minister said that on Thursday, adding that this is because karaoke premises are still categorised as entertainment outlets and so far, the government has only allowed family-oriented karaoke centres, as well as those held at wedding feasts in green zones placed under the Recovery MCO.
Ismail was commenting on the Sarawak government's decision to allow karaoke outlets to operate in the state and said his ministry will inform the Sarawak state government on the standard operating procedures for the operation of karaoke outlets.
