Responding to a question about the fate of undocumented migrants in areas placed under the enhanced movement control order (EMCO), Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah on Thursday said the ministry’s role is only to screen and treat the foreigners if they are infected.
The Health DG siad his ministry will leave it to the National Security Council (NSC) to take further action against the foreigners.
Dr Noor Hisham also reported that a total of 21,271 foreigners have thus far been screened for Covid-19 by his ministry, adding that of this number, 811 have tested positive.
