The Human Resources Ministry has officially taken over the Foreign Worker Management One Stop Centre (OSC), with all applications now required to be submitted by employers through the eQuota module in the Foreign Workers Centralised Management System (FWCMS), effective July 6.

Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri R. Ramanan said the move aims to improve transparency, reduce bureaucracy and minimise human interference, while the Home Ministry retains authority over national security matters.

The ministry will begin processing 22,476 pending quota applications from 548 companies, prioritise local job advertising requirements, and establish a dedicated Foreign Worker Management Division to oversee the system.
