Over 100 people pray for the soul of Muhammad Haziq

More than 100 Muslims on Thursday gathered in the hometown of 17-year-old Muhammad Haziq Mohd Tarmizi for an absentee funeral prayer in honour of the Malaysian teen who was killed during the March 15 Christchurch mosque shootings.
Bayan Lepas assemblyman Azrul Mahathir Aziz, who met with family members of the victims during his five-day official visit to New Zealand from March 16 to 20 with Penang executive councillor Phee Boon Poh, said the prayer was their way of showing solidarity.
