Over 11% of 1,213 new Covid-19 cases linked to prison, detention depot clusters

More than 11% of Malaysia’s new Covid-19 cases on Thursday have come from clusters linked to a prison and an immigration detention centre.
Ninety nine cases came from an outbreak at the Semuja immigration depot in Serian, Sarawak and another 32 came from the Jalan Harapan prison cluster in Selangor.
Malaysia recorded 1,213 more Covid-19 cases, taking the total confirmed infections to 328,466.
