The passing of former Prime Minister Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi on Monday (April 14) is not only a great loss to the nation but is also deeply felt by the people of Sarawak.

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof said the fifth Prime Minister had contributed significantly to the development of Bumi Kenyalang, including through the Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy initiative, which has proven successful in spurring the state's economic growth.
