A Special Committee to Combat Multiple Nutrition Problems in Children has been urged to focus on the problem of stunted children’s growth in Malaysia.
Calling it a worrying issue, Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin on Monday (June 27) said the government aims to reduce the rate of stunted growth in children to 8% in 2030, compared to the present rate of over 20%.
When commenting on the stunted children's growth in Putrajaya, Khairy said there is a need to find out how states and terrotories with relatively high incomes face the problem of stunted growth and obesity.
