PAS president wants more use of Malay language in official matters

PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang lamented the underuse of the Malay language in Malaysia, particularly in official matters and major events, where its presence remains minimal.

During the Royal Address debate in the Dewan Rakyat on Tuesday (Feb 18), the Marang MP also pointed out that other countries, like those at the United Nations, have leaders who speak in their native languages, while Malaysian leaders speak in English.
