Pasir Gudang is now equipped with real-time air monitoring system

Pasir Gudang has become the first industrial town in the country to be equipped with real-time air monitoring system that could send out alert in case of air pollution.
Energy, Science, Technology, Environment and Climate Change Minister Yeo Bee Yin said 25 Photo Ionization Detectors (IPD), which could detect Total Volatile Organic Compunds (TVOC) in the environment have been installed throughout the district.
She said this in a press conference at Department of Environment (DoE) Pasir Gudang branch after visiting the real-time air monitoring system of the Pasir Gudang district on Sunday (Feb 23).
