Penang’s Rifle Range Flats turns 50 this year

Rifle Range Flats, Penang’s first ever low-cost and high-rise residence, is firmly etched in the people’s psyche as one of the oldest institutions in the state that has provided a roof over their heads.
To mark its 50th anniversary, a social project called Padang Tembak 50 has started, encouraging people who grew up in Rifle Range to share their photos, videos and other memories of the place.
