People free to organise assembly but follow the rules, says Shamsul Anuar

The people have the right to freedom of expression including organising or participating in peaceful gatherings provided they adhere to stipulated regulations, said Datuk Seri Dr Shamsul Anuar Nasarah.
In response to a question from Chow Yu Hui (PH-Raub) during the Dewan Rakyat question and answer session on Tuesday (Oct 22), the Deputy Home Minister cited the Peaceful Assembly Act 2012 (Act 736) and clarified that the organiser must notify the police at least five days before the planned event.
