Perak exco man rape allegation: Papers sent to DPP, says IGP

Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Abdul Hamid Bador said the investigation papers on the Perak executive council member accused of raping his Indonesian maid has been sent to the deputy public prosecutor's office for review and further action.
Speaking to reporters after presenting the Pingat Jasa Pahlawan Negara at the General Operations Force base in Semenyih on Tuesday, the IGP also said there will not be any delay to resolve the issue.
On July 8, the victim lodged a police report claiming she was raped by her employer, Paul Yong, at his home in Meru.
Yong has denied the allegation.
