A community in Phitsanulok, Thailand who have been plagued by mosquitoes has come up with their own method of reducing its population.
They have created their own mosquito trap using a water container that can hold five litres of water.
The bottle, dubbed “water bottle that loves mosquitoes”, is painted in black while a small light bulb is placed inside to attract mosquitoes at night.
The centre of the container contains a PVC water pipe.
Once mosquitoes fly near the bulb, an electric fan will suck the mosquito inside and trap it inside a bag.
