Approximately eight thousand metric tons of uncollected waste filled the streets of the Cochabamba municipality as residents in the area demanded the closure of the dumpster they say is affecting their health.

Piles of garbage is seen along streets across Cochabamba as residents living near the Kara Kara dump continue to carry out a now 14-day-long blockade of the landfill asking for its definitive closure.
