PJ Old Town: 1,400 screened for Covid-19 so far, situation in control, says police chief

Petaling Jaya district police chief Asst Comm Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal told the press on Tuesday that the enhanced movement control order (MCO) in the Jalan Othman market area is running smoothly, adding that more than 1,400 people have been screened for Covid-19 since May 11.
ACP Nik Ezanee added that police discovered 16 houses in zone C in the area were vacant, while four others were occupied by foreigners who were being screened for the coronavirus.
The PJ police chief also said police have identified 439 premises in zones A, B, and C, and have distributed food to 394 households that can last for five days.
ACP Nik Ezanee also reported that a Bangladeshi national attempted to escape from the area, adding that the person had been detained and sent to an isolated lockup.
