PM Anwar calls out Opposition's 'hypocrisy' over support letters

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim accused the Opposition of hypocrisy over support letters from Terengganu and Kelantan officials, noting his officer merely “forwarded” a matter while Perikatan-ruled states explicitly requested project approval.

He said the officer deserved a reprimand, not dismissal.

When questioned why he had not sacked former political secretary Datuk Seri Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin amid ongoing investigations, Anwar said officers issuing letters for consideration are not dismissed, but stressed the hypocrisy of the Perikatan-state letters.
