PM: Death penalty remains but judges now given discretion in sentencing

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob explained that the death penalty will remain and not be abolished and the change is only on the fact that judges now have discretion during sentencing.
He said this after officiating the Peninsular Malaysia Orang Asli Association's annual general meeting in Bera, Pahang on Friday (June 10).
