PM: International community crucial to pressure Myanmar to reverse course on humanitarian crisis

Delivering Malaysia’s national statement at the general debate of the United Nations General Assembly on Friday (Sept 22), Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said the post coup violence and instability in Myanmar is among Southeast Asia’s biggest humanitarian challenges in recent years.
He said the support of the international community,
including the UN, is crucial to maintain necessary pressure
on Myanmar’s military authorities to reverse their course.
