PM says Malaysia will try to get as much soft loan as possible from Japan

After addressing the Dewan Rakyat on Monday on soft loans that the Government is asking from Japan, Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad told reporters that his administration will try to get as much as they can as it will be a better way to reduce debt cost in the country. Earlier, Dr Mahathir told the Dewan Rakyat that Malaysia was not plagued by high national debt in the 1980s and 1990s after taking a soft loan credit from Japan.
