Police and demonstrators clash in Indonesia over labour law protest

Thousands of Indonesians have gathered in several cities across Indonesia, protesting against a so-called "omnibus" jobs creation bill which was passed on Monday (Oct 5).
President Joko Widodo has yet to make any public statement but his ministers have defended it, saying protests were triggered by false news and that the legislation would improve people's welfare by welcoming more investment.
