Police bust loan shark ring in Johor Baru, three arrested

Police have arrested three men for allegedly running a loan shark syndicate in Johor Baru with loans amounting to RM1.5mil.
Johor police chief Comm Datuk Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay said that on Monday (Aug 23), adding that the syndicate has been operating since late 2019 and preyed on petty traders.
Meanwhile, in an unrelated case, Comm Ayob said police had arrested a 41-year-old man for splashing red paint on four houses in Batu Pahat and Segamat on Aug 17.
