Police detain three actors linked to viral Rukun Negara theatre video

Police have detained and released on bail three of five actors linked to a 2018 theatre performance in Penang that allegedly mocked the Rukun Negara.

Bukit Aman CID director Comm Datuk M Kumar said the three are being investigated under the Sedition Act 1948 and Communications and Multimedia Act 1998, while police are tracing another actor believed to be in the United Kingdom and the person who uploaded the video that later went viral.
