Police have recorded statements from Momota and other accident victims, says BAM president

Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) president Datuk Seri Norza Zakaria spoke to the press about Kento Momota’s departure from Malaysia to Japan on Wednesday morning.
He said the police had recorded statements from Momota, Japan national team assistant coach Yu Hirayama and physiologist Arkifuki Morimoto about the car accident they were involved in.
The van the three were travelling in rammed into a trailer on the Maju Expressway as they headed to the Kuala Lumpur International Airport on Monday. They escaped with injuries while their van driver died in the accident.
