Police make more arrests in meat cartel scandal

Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department director Datuk Huzir Mohamed told reporters on Sunday that the police carried out an operation on April 9, crippling a syndicate comprising 19 companies supplying and distributing imported meat from Brazil without going through legal means.
He said some 36 people were also detained to facilitate police investigation into a series of meat cartel scandal in the country.
