Police rescue businessman and shoot dead his kidnappers

Johor police deputy chief Datuk Shafie Ismail said police had shot dead two kidnappers in a gunfight and rescued an abducted businessman who was held for a S$10mil (RM30.54mil) ransom.
The operation took place early Tuesday at an palm oil estate in Sekakap, Mersing, after the 41-year old businessman was reported kidnapped since Dec 17.
