Prasarana achieves 56% drop in rail disruptions in 2025

Technical disruptions on Prasarana-operated rail lines fell sharply to 31 cases last year, a 56% improvement from 2024, reflecting enhanced system reliability.

This translates to just one disruption for every 790,000km travelled across five rail lines, although the Kelana Jaya Line accounted for over half of the incidents.

Transport Minister Anthony Loke said improvements are encouraging but insufficient, stressing that zero disruptions are unrealistic due to factors such as cable theft and external interference.
